2.   EXECUTIVE SESSION - The City Council has determined a necessity to
go into a closed to the public session under the provisions of Section
551, Texas Government Code, and the following topics may be discussed: 

 

*         under the authority of Section 551.074, personnel - discussion
regarding interactions between Council and city staff and discussion
regarding staff responsibilities at Municipal Court.

*         under the authority of Section 551.087, deliberation regarding
economic development negotiations - discussion of offer of financial or
other incentives for development of a retail/commercial complex in east
Bryan, discussion of offer of financial or other incentives for
development in west Bryan, discuss possible incentives for business
prospects to locate in the Bryan-College Station community.

Conservation District for all 27 lots in the subdivision known as
Briarcrest Estates, Section Four, Bryan, Brazos County, Texas.

totaling .6198 acres,  being Lots 4-7, Block 165 of the Bryan Original
Townsite, Bryan, Brazos County, Texas.

 

10.    PUBLIC HEARING - REZONING REQUEST (RZ 06-34)

         Receive public comment regarding a request to amend Chapter
130, Zoning, of the City of Bryan Code of Ordinances, as amended,

commercial uses, subject to development requirements specified herein on
60.3694 acres of land adjoining the south side of Briarcrest Drive being
part of the Richard Carter Survey, Abstract No. 8, recorded in Volume
1188 at Page 48 of the deed records of Brazos County, Texas.

      Consider award of an annual contract to Brazos Site Works of
Bryan, Texas, for crushed rock flexible base in an amount not to exceed
$325,000.  This product is essential for the Public Works Street
Maintenance Program and used primarily in the street repair process.

Constructors, Inc., in the amount $119,729.50 for the Downtown Bryan,

g.   Resolution - Establishing a Bryan/College Station Youth Commission

82-10, to prohibit camping in public places and public streets and to
recognize an exception to the camping prohibition for the authorized use
of public park facilities and Lake Bryan during normal park hours and to
create an exception to the prohibition to allow camping in public parks
after hours by registered participants in Parks and Recreation
Department sponsored, permitted camping special events and at Lake Bryan
by permit; amending Chapter 86, "Parks and Recreation", Section 116,
"Overnight Camping" to include the exception for Parks and Recreation
Department sponsored, permitted camping special events; providing for a
penalty; providing for publication in the newspaper; and providing for a
effective date.

 

p.   Second and Final Reading of an Ordinance - Bryan Texas Utilities

      Second and final reading of an ordinance of the City of Bryan,
Texas, establishing a new schedule of rates to be charged for electric
current furnished by Bryan Texas Utilities; providing a charge for a
delayed payment; providing certain terms for customer restored service;
prescribing certain service charges; providing an exception for resale,
temporary standby, or supplementary service; providing a disconnect
provision; and providing definitions.

      This agenda consists of items previously approved by Council
action, such as adoption of items that are part of an approved budget or

Number Twenty for commercial-industrial tax abatement as provided for in
Chapter 312, Texas Tax Code Annotated; establishing the duration of the
district; authorizing agreements not to exceed six years in duration to
exempt from taxation a portion of the increase in value of property in

b.   Hear Staff Report and Provide Direction to Staff, If Needed,
Regarding the Texas Reds Signature Event - Joey Dunn
