Dec. 10: Soldiers return to B/CS after year in Kosovo
Welcome-home parade begins at 2 p.m.
 
About 100 Texas National Guard soldiers from Bryan-College Station and
surrounding areas will return home from Kosovo on Sunday, Dec. 10.
 
These soldiers, also known as Task Force Houston, have been on security
missions in the southern Serbian province since late 2005.
 
An informal welcome-home parade will begin at 2 p.m. at the College
Station Wal-Mart location and proceed north on Texas Avenue until it
reaches Coulter Drive. The procession will turn right on Coulter and
continue to the Texas National Guard Armory located at East 25th Street.
 
The community is being encouraged to line Texas Avenue as these soldiers
make their way back to headquarters in Bryan. Show your appreciation
with signs, banners, flags, smiles and waves.
