BRYAN INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT
APRIL 17, 2007

Registration for incoming pre-K and Kindergarten students in Bryan ISD
will be April 23-27, 2007.  Any child who will be 5 years old on or
before September 1, 2007 is eligible for kindergarten. Bryan ISD also
offers an instruction program for eligible 4-year-olds at Milam
Elementary and the Carver Early Childhood Center.


Parents or guardians can register students at their designated campus
during regular school hours. Check individual campuses for extended
registration hours.

The following items are required for registration:

* Birth certificate
* Social Security card
* Proof of physical residence - Need two items (utility bill or lease
agreement, driver's license, voter registration card, utilities
application, builder contract)
* Proof of parent income (for Pre-Kindergarten students only)
* Immunization record including DPT/DTaP/DT, poliomyelitis, varicella
(chicken pox), HIB,
hepatitis A & B, and measles-mumps-rubella. (TB test required if student
entering from outside United States.)

To qualify for Pre-Kindergarten Program:
1. Four years old on or before Sept. 1
2. Limited English language proficiency or income within guidelines for
free-reduced meals (proof of income required)
