Bryan Collegiate is a new early college high school program in the Bryan
Independent School District created in partnership with Blinn College
and Texas A&M University. College preparation is the sole focus of BCHS.
Students who attend this school will have the opportunity to earn up to
60 college credit hours in addition to their high school diploma. BCHS
will open with 100 ninth grade students on August 27. An additional 100
students will be enrolled each year until the campus reaches 400
students. The school is designed to substantially increase the number of
low-income students and first-generation college-bound students who will
pursue advanced studies.

The Early College High School Initiative is sponsored by the Bill &
Melinda Gates Foundation with support from the Carnegie Corporation of
New York, the Ford Foundation, and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
Additional and long-term funding for schools comes from a variety of
public and private sources.
