Early voting info announced for June 23 run-off election
 
Early voting dates and times have been determined for the run-off
election that finally will determine two places on the Bryan City
Council.
 
The run-off election will decide Single Member District 2 - Mike Flores
versus Paul Madison - and Single Member District 4 - Ann Horton versus
Lloyd Joyce.
 
Only voters living in those two single member districts may vote in the
run-off election. Even if a voter did not cast a ballot on May 12, he or
she may still vote in the run-off election.  
 
The last day to register to vote is May 23.
 
 
Early voting: June 11-19
June 11-15:       8 a.m.-5 p.m.
June 16:            8 a.m.-1 p.m.
June 18-19:       7 a.m.-7 p.m.
 
All early voting will take place at the Bryan Municipal Office Building,
300 South Texas Avenue.
 
 
Election Day: June 23
June 23:            7 a.m.-7 p.m.
 
The same polling places used in SMD-2 and SMD-4 on May 12 will be used
on June 23. Those are:
 
SMD-2:             Kemp Elementary School, Arena Hall, Williams
Tabernacle
SMD-4:             Ross Elementary School, Johnson Elementary School,
Bethel Lutheran
 
 
Conlee, Saenz swearing-in...and more
Mayor-elect Mark Conlee and Single Member District 1 Councilmember-elect
Al Saenz will be sworn-in at the end of the May 22 Bryan City Council
meeting.
 
Meanwhile, Conlee's former SMD-4 seat will remain vacant until the June
23 run-off election. SMD-2 Councilwoman Annette Stephney will remain in
her seat until the run-off election determines her successor.
