Portion of East 26th Street to be temporarily closed
East 26th Street from Washington Avenue to Houston Avenue will be closed
for approximately two weeks, beginning Monday, March 9, while
Houston-based Economic Construction works to install a waterline in
conjunction with the City of Bryan's Miscellaneous Waterline
Reconnections project. The project cost is about $81,000.
Partial access will be allowed to businesses on 26th Street, but
motorists will need to take access from Washington or Houston avenues.
The parking spaces in front of the Brazos County Courthouse will be open
only to handicapped motorists. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate
routes; however, there will be a signed detour for motorists traveling
along 26th Street.
