Warrant roundup starts Saturday

A statewide warrant roundup begins Saturday, March 7. Those who have
outstanding warrants will be arrested at their home or work place. 

 

The Bryan Municipal Court would like to remind those who have warrants
that there is no statute of limitations. The City marshal's office
recently arrested a woman who had five warrants issued outstanding from
1985. 

 

Bryan Municipal Court Administrator Hilda Cuthbertson commended the
Texas Department of Public Safety investigators and City marshals who
investigated the case and were able to locate the defendant, whose name
had changed due to marriage. 

 

"We hope this story will motivate others to come in and take care of
their warrants," Cuthbertson said. 

 

The statewide warrant roundup begins Saturday, March 7, and will
continue through Saturday, March 21. To avoid arrest, defendants may
take care of their warrants by paying any outstanding fines at Bryan
Municipal Court.
